Fort Bragg California Family Photography || The Dondanville Kids

I love when my clients are also friends. Friends who are over moon excited for their session with me is the BEST!

A few months ago my friend Brittany messaged me with a session request and without hesitation I put her on the calendar for May.

Mother’s day weekend is when my family makes it’s annual trek to the woods. We hang out, take a few pictures by the cherry trees (which are usually in bloom) and well, just goof off.  This was the PERFECT backdrop to what Brittany wanted for her kids’ pictures.

Mother’s day came and went, along with the flowering trees. This year our weather has been a little off, and well, the flowering trees flowered about two weeks earlier than usual.

Without skipping a beat, a change of location was in order.

There’s nothing better than an old barn, Redwood trees, climbing roses, wooden fences and yes…even an ottoman in the middle of a dirt road to make a session beautiful.

But I have to admit something. I’m a bit of an ‘in your face’ kind of photographer (yes, I literally get up in your face when I’m shooting:), and even if we had absolutely nothing in the background but a brown wall, I would have been happy.

Thank you Brittany, Neil and Maddy for being YOU. I enjoyed every second of our time together ~
