Not sure if you know this, but I have a teenage daughter. She’s amazing. I can hardly believe she’s mine. Such a wise soul for such a young age.
But I haven’t always been so excited to be her parent. It took me about a year of counseling to try to help me figure her out. It was either that, or never learn to like her.
I’m so glad I went. I really do like her.
A lot, actually.
Tonight was her school’s Valentine’s Dance. And apparently it was our turn to host all the friends for the ‘getting ready for the dance’ get together.
Yep. All 7 of them in my itty, bitty, tiny house.
And two boys.
And two dads.
There was so much hairspray in the air you could see it.
These girls were absolutely beautiful. Red and black dresses, neat hair and pretty, put together faces. Really beautiful little ladies.
And the boys were very good sports. One even let the girls straighten his otherwise very curly long hair.
Oh what a boy will do to have girls fuss over them…
So this thing about my daughter. She’s growing up into an amazing young lady. I couldn’t be more proud.
And I just wanted to share it with you.
