I photographed Haley with a group of her girlfriends a few months back. It was a great session her friend, Kindyl, put together. It was a lot of fun and you can see more of those images here.
So since I had already met with Haley before, it made our time together so much easier and relaxed…just the way I like it to be! but if you’re thinking to yourself, hey, you haven’t photographed me yet so will that make my session less relaxed?! And the answer is Heck No! Go ahead, ask any of my previous clients if they felt super comfortable with me while I took their pictures. Every single one of them will say how much fun they had, how relaxed they felt and in the end, how much of a really good time they had. My seniors tend to come in packs, whether it’s with their moms, friends or both. And as much as this seems like a great idea at first, I really would prefer just my client. I have a lot of reasons behind my preference, but my number one goal is to have my client feel relaxed in front of my camera. And the only way to do this is to build up a relationship with them as soon as possible and have them smiling naturally within the first 10 to 15 minutes. Can YOU do that with your mom watching? Try doing that with your bffs hanging around…. yes, it’s just NOT going to happen.
I had the best of both worlds with Haley, no mama and no bffs. Just me and her.
Haley, I had a really wonderful time with you and wish you nothing but the very best after High School. Soak it all up and ENJOY!
